What is BBall Stats?
It is an ecosystem of tools (a mobile app for Android and a website) created for easily entering and viewing live basketball statistics.
What is it for?
The main goal is to enable quick and convenient recording of game actions (such as points scored, fouls, rebounds, assists, etc.) for individual team players and viewing the collected data online.
What are its features?
Important: The interface of the web service, as well as the application, is available only in Polish.
BBallstats offers two complementary platforms:
Web Version (Accessible via browser):
- Online Availability: Internet access and a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari) on any device – computer, tablet, or smartphone – are sufficient.
- Hardware Independence: Works the same regardless of whether you use Windows, MacOS, Android, or iOS.
- Offline Work: If you lose internet connection during a match, you can still enter statistics without interruption. The web application saves progress locally in your browser, so no data will be lost.
- Server Upload: After finishing the match (and ensuring you have an internet connection), you can send all collected statistics to the central server with one click. You can mark a match as private – it will not be visible on the public match list and will only be accessible via a direct link.
- Preview and PDF: Immediately after finishing data entry, you can see a tabular summary of the match and also generate a print-ready PDF file with statistics (this requires an active internet connection). The PDF will include a link to the online statistics if the match has been previously uploaded to the server.
- Browsing Statistics: A dedicated section of the service allows you to browse the history of all submitted matches (from both Web and mobile versions) and generate PDF reports for each saved game. PDF reports generated from this view also contain a link to the online statistics.
Mobile App (Android):
- Native Application: Provides convenience and speed on Android devices.
- Easy Match Setup: Quick entry of the team name and players (number, surname).
- Statistics Entry: Intuitive interface for recording actions: 2/3 point shots (made/attempts), free throws (made/attempts), rebounds (offensive/defensive), assists, turnovers, steals, blocks, fouls, and deflections.
- EVAL Calculation: Automatic calculation of the efficiency index (EVAL) for players.
- PDF Report Generation: Ability to generate a PDF report directly on the mobile device, also works offline. The PDF will include a link to the online statistics if the match has been previously uploaded to the server.
- Server Data Upload: Option to send statistics to the same central server as the Web version. Requires an internet connection. You can mark a match as private – it will not be visible on the public match list and will only be accessible via a direct link. After a successful upload, the link to the match is automatically copied to the clipboard.
- Offline Operation: Entering statistics during the match does not require a constant internet connection.
- Browsing Statistics Online: Built-in function to open the statistics page in the browser (Chrome Custom Tabs). Requires an internet connection.
